Volvo Event Management (Golf) has been and continues to be Volvo’s in-house vehicle for delivering brand value throughout its portfolio of global golf properties.
Jointly owned by Volvo Cars and Volvo Group, Volvo Event Management (Golf) is responsible for the planning, delivery and subsequent evaluation of the Volvo China Open, the Volvo World Match Play Championship and the Volvo Masters Amateur World Final, whilst also acting as a centre of excellence for the many Volvo business areas and territories around the world.
With over 120 title sponsorships in golf to its name, Volvo Event Management (Golf) has raised the bar for the benchmark of quality, ensuring the hallmark of integrity is upheld throughout its award-winning and record-breaking programme of professional golf.
Having been based in Brussels, Belgium for over 20 years, Volvo Event Management (Golf) moved to Gothenburg in Sweden to be cheek-by-jowl with the headquarters of Volvo Cars and Volvo Group, further showcasing Volvo products and the brand’s three core values of Quality, Safety and Environmental Care.
Per Ericsson was appointed President of Volvo Event Management (Golf) in June 2008 and oversees the optimum positioning of the distinctive Volvo brand throughout its worldwide golf portfolio and is supported by his in-house team in Gothenburg, a representation office in Hong Kong and a network of specialist consultants around the world.
Volvo Event Management (Golf) operates in a variety of different ways, including acting as the promoter and organiser of the Volvo China Open, title sponsor of the Volvo China Junior Championship, co-promoter of the Volvo World Match Play Championship and rights holder / organiser of the Volvo Masters Amateur World Final.
