Volvo China Junior Championship – the future of Chinese golf

As well as being the title sponsor of the Volvo China Open, in keeping with Volvo’s root-and-branch approach to sports sponsorship also sponsors the Volvo China Junior Championship, with the senior boys champion given the opportunity of a lifetime, a place in the Volvo China Open itself, whilst the senior girls champion plays in the Volvo China Open Pro-am.

With golf back in the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, these Chinese youngsters will be going all-out for selection and the possibility of an Olympic as much a dream as winning their own Volvo China Open or one of golf’s ‘Major’ championships.

Played during the October national holiday in two age groups, Boys and Girls 11 – 14-years and 15 – 17 years to watch these youngster compete is like looking into the future of Chinese and possibly even world golf.
